Add Devices

  2. Install via MDM
  3. Install via Agent
  4. End User Instructions

Select a Policy

You must select a Policy to enroll your devices into Addigy. Policies enforce settings and categorize groups of devices for management.

Install via MDM

MDM Enrollment Options Addigy Supports the following enrollment options for Mobile Device Management on macOS, iOS, and tvOS:

  • Automated Device Enrollment (FKA:DEP): This will require an Apple Business Manager account

  • MDM Device Enrollment: This requires an administrator username and password on most macOS versions when trying to initially install and approve the ‘.mobileconfig’ file after accessing the MDM enrollment link. This will also subsequently install the Addigy Agent silently if the device is a macOS Device. This bypasses the requirement for User Approved MDM as the Device will have manually installed the MDM Profile or it’s installed via Automated Device Enrollment which does this automatically.

  • User Enrollment (BYOD): This will require an Apple Business Manager account and allows a User-level enrollment via MDM. This is a limited read-only type of management for personal device(s).

Install via Agent

Recommended method for installation on devices running macOS High Sierra (10.13.0) and older.

Install with Package: This will require administrator-level privilege to run our .pkg installer, like most applications that use a PKG it is a small wizard walk-through to install the local Addigy Agent. MDM can be installed afterward using the +MDM button in the Actions column. Keep in mind this method will require User Approval for the MDM Enrollment Profile.

Install with Terminal: This will use root privileges to install the Addigy Agent via terminal. It can work silently if you have an existing remote-ssh tool or remote access to the device. This runs a terminal command to install the Addigy Agent .PKG into your specific organization. MDM would need to be installed thereafter silently if configured and would require user approval.

End User Instructions

Email installation instruction Provides the option to send an email to the currently logged-in user with a direct link to the Addigy Agent installer for the specific policy.
